A landmark at Mathura, GLA Group of Institutions recognizes the potential of its students and enables them to grow and evolve into successful professionals. It achieves this through its state-of–the-art infrastructure, picturesque and inspiring settings and a devoted team of faculty members and administrators. The learning ambience at all the Institutions of the Group is perfectly suited to all-round growth and academic excellence. Located on Delhi-Mathura National Highway No. 2, the group of institutions is spread over an area of more than 70 acres. The group started its march towards excellence with the establishment of GLA Institute of Technology & Management (GLAITM), followed by GLA Institute of Pharmaceutical Research (GLAIPR), GLA Institute of Professional Studies (GLAIPS) and GLA Institute of Business Management (GLAIBM) for imparting quality at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At all the institutes, there is a sincere and consistent effort to blend perfectly the four basic ingredients of contemporary education viz. – infrastructure, faculty members, students and curriculum. Along with regular academics, intensive efforts are made to bring about holistic personality development and skill building by way of various seminars, conferences and workshops, culminating in effective institute – industry interaction. The group provides great thrust to interactive learning. In fact, this aspect is what makes the atmosphere at the institutes warm and friendly. We believe that the students need support, guidance and assistance to grow into skilled professionals. Ten years of rigorous pursuits for excellence enabled the group to add a new institute, by the name Ganeshi Lal Narayan Das Institute of Technology (GLNAIT) in the year 2008. Although still a nascent endeavor, the journey has a destination of premiership in education.
Mathura: The Sacred Land The city of Mathura, in Uttar Pradesh, the nucleus of Brajbhoomi, is located at a distance of 145 km south-east of Delhi and 58 km north-west of Agra. Covering an area of about 3,800 sq. km., the land where Shri Krishna was born and spent his youth, has today little towns and hamlets that are still alive with the Krishna legend and still redolent with the music of his flute. It is a city of temples and shrines, a bustle with the thousands of devotees who come to visit the city of Lord Krishna. A splendid temple at the Katra Keshav Dev marks the spot that is believed to be the Shri Krishna Janmasthan-the birthplace of the Lord. Another beautiful shrine, the Gita Mandir located on the Mathura-Vrindavan Road has a fine image of Shri Krishna in its sanctum. The whole of the Bhagwad Gita is inscribed on the walls of the temple. The city stretches along the bank of the Yamuna and the continuous line of ghats along the river makes a splendid spectacle when viewed from the opposite bank. The ghats are believed to have been built at the sites of ancient ashrams, where the great sages performed their penances. These are pilgrimage spots today and centers of religious and cultural activity, where the people come to have their ritual dips in the holy river. |
